I am starting this blog to have a space to write about the potential for using genetics and genomics in public health for disease prevention and health promotion. This is the 'underground' because the discussions here will not shy away from the provocative, unconventional or the avant garde. Subversive ideas and discussions that challenge the status quo are definitely encouraged. Here's a place to try out ideas, work them through, stimulate discussion and solicit feed back from other 'underground' types who are willing to entertain ideas that are not completely worked out, but have interesting potential for improving health.
